Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hai Hoa inspects the construction progress of the border checkpoint, the traffic interconnection and Ban Gioc waterfall tourist zone.

The delegation inspected the construction progress of a number of works serving the pilot operation for tourists from both sides to visit the waterfall landscape zone. The projects include the constructions of the border checkpoint, the traffic interconnection and the Ban Gioc waterfall tourist zone; the construction of the parking for passenger electric vehicles and other auxiliary items for the landscape zone; the overall ground clearance for construction of works under the Agreement on Cooperation in Protection and Exploitation of Tourism Resources of Ban Gioc – Detian Waterfall.

Accordingly, the construction project of the border checkpoint, the traffic interconnection and Ban Gioc waterfall tourist zone has a total investment of over 24 billion VND. To date, the construction of the border checkpoint is almost completed; the two sides have made traffic connections to the landmark 834/1; the construction items of the landscape zone and some additional works of the item has been being completed.

The construction of the parking for passenger electric vehicles and other auxiliary items for the landscape zone has a total investment of more than 7.5 billion VND. The investment objectives are to ensure the provision of tourism services of Ban Gioc waterfall tourist area and to complete the initial infrastructure to meet the implementation of the Agreement on cooperation in protection and exploitation of tourism resources of Ban Gioc – Detian waterfall, contributing to exploiting inherent potentials and strengths, meeting development requirements, improving economic efficiency, developing tourism in association with national defense and security. Up to now, the works have been basically completed, the investor is preparing the acceptance documents for handover.

The delegation inspect the progress of the construction of the parking for passenger electric vehicles and auxiliary items for the landscape zone.

Regarding the overall site clearance project for construction of works under the Agreement on Cooperation in Protection and Exploitation of Tourism Resources of Ban Gioc – Detian Waterfall, 78,749.3 m2 has been recovered and cleared; 48 families and individuals have been compensated with a total amount of over 19.5 billion VND; All tents and sales booths at landmark 835 have been dismantled and relocated.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hai Hoa asked the investor to continue to urge the contractors to increase human resources and to take advantage of favorable weather to speed up the construction progress of the work items to ensure compliance with the set plan. He also requested relevant departments and branches to continue to survey and develop implementation plans, remove difficulties and obstacles, and submit them to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and direction to ensure progress.
