In the third
quarter of 2023, the two sides regularly deployed patrol and control
activities, and effectively maintained the communication exchange mechanism; met
20 times and sent 160 letters to each other (83 letters from the Vietnamese
side, 77 letters from the Chinese side) to inform about the epidemic situation
and criminal activities on the border of the two countries.
The two
Side also worked together to hand over and receive 286 Vietnamese citizens and
18 Chinese citizens who illegally entered and exited. Procedures for returning
and receiving citizens were carried out in accordance with the recent regulations
and disease prevention and control, contributing to maintaining stability, security
and order in the border area.
In the
coming time, the two sides will strengthen coordination in information
exchange, joint patrols, and border inspection and control. The two sides
agreed to coordinate to dismantle warehouses and storage points that pose a
risk of gathering goods for illegal transportation across the border; strengthen
propaganda of policies and laws for border residents. The two sides agreed to
take all measures to prevent their citizens from participating in illegal
activities across the border, ensuring security and order on both sides of the
border and border gates.
On the occasion,
both sides had a friendly football match. The activity aims to further
strengthen solidarity and friendship between the two sides' forces.
