The conference was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Trieu Dinh Le; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh; Members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; Heads of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and a number of Departments, sectors and agencies; the province's businesses and cooperatives; nearly 500 representatives of central ministries, sectors and agencies, embassies, international organization and non-governmental organizations, associations and representatives of domestic and foreign businesses.

Addressing the event, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ha Kim Ngoc said that the conference aims to promote the image, potential, and strength of Cao Bang to foreign representative offices in Vietnam as well as international organizations and foreign businesses, thus attracting more investment in the province and helping it expand international integration. He also expressed his belief that Cao Bang, with abundant development potential and the direction of the provincial leadership, will become the priority choice of international partners in the upcoming time.

The Deputy Foreign Minister hoped that Cao Bang will continue to actively connect with external resources to develop the province's socio-economic development in a sustainable way. He pledged that the ministry will continue to act as a bridge connecting the localities and businesses of Vietnam and foreign partners.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh said that the advantages and potential of Cao Bang include the border economy, tourism, and agriculture. However, Cao Bang is still a poor locality with many difficulties and small-scale production as well as inadequate growth of tourism and service sectors and modest human resources.

In order to achieve the goal of making Cao Bang a dynamic, rapidly developing and sustainable province, the Provincial Party Committee has identified three strategic breakthroughs for the province in the coming time including development of sustainable tourism and service, development of smart agriculture and agriculture towards endemic commodity production associated with processing, and development of border gate economy.

At the conference, a number presentations were made by leaders of the province, representatives of businesses, non-governmental organizations, and embassies of some countries in Vietnam. The participants also discussed province's potential, advantages, and some key areas and breakthroughs. Other issues such as cooperation in human resource development, orientation for tourism development while preserving environmental landscapes and heritages, the development of the Non Nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark, the development of high-tech agriculture, policies and solutions to improve the business investment environment, the attraction of ODA to develop urban and transport infrastructure, conditions for non-governmental organizations to operate and invest in the province were also discussed.

In his closing remarks, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh affirmed that the conference wrapped up successfully and left a good impression on domestic and international friends. Cao Bang Province wishes to cooperate and connect with domestic and international organizations and individuals in conducting surveys, research and investment in Cao Bang, thus contributing to turning the locality into a destination for investors.
