The Provincial People's Committee work with 45 domestic and international businesses

A meeting between the Peoples Committee of Cao Bang province and 45 domestic and international businesses took place on October 3rd in Hanoi within the framework of the Conference Cao Bang Presentation. The meeting was attended by Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Trung Thao and Trinh Truong Huy; Vietnamese SMEs, Vietnam-ASEAN Entrepreneur Club, overseas Business Vietnamese Association.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trinh Truong Huy affirmed that Cao Bang province will effectively exploit all potentials and strengths for socio-economic development, focusing on developing high-tech agriculture, tourism, border trade economy. The province issued Decision 1452/QD-UBND, dated October 10, 2022 on a list of projects calling for and attracting investment in the province for the period 2022 - 2025. Accordingly, there are 102 investment projects in the fields of agriculture, industry, urban development, tourism, trade and services, transportation, environment, border gates and other fields. This is the basis for the province to promote, call for and select investors. Departments, branches, sectors and the People's Committees of districts have been assigned the task of proactively reviewing resources and reforming administrative procedures to call for and attract potential investors.

At the meeting, the participants discussed and clarified a number of issues and were introduced the province's breakthroughs including high-tech agriculture, tourism and border gate economy.

Representatives of domestic and foreign businesses hope that Cao Bang province will create favorable conditions for investors during their process of conducting research and surveys. There should have open policy mechanisms and positive solutions to improve the business investment environment to attract ODA capital to develop urban infrastructure, transportation, tourism, etc.
Also, a meeting between Cao Bang Department of Industry and Trade and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Thailand in Vietnam took place on the afternoon of October 3rd. The two Sides discussed a number of areas of mutual interest and agreed to possibly promote cooperation in the fields of trade, industry, services, and border trade.

Head of Cao Bang Department of Industry and Trade hoped that representative of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Thailand in Vietnam would continue to act as a bridge between Thai businesses and Cao Bang province, arrange to pay a visit to Cao Bang for conducting survey and researches and sign cooperation agreements between the two sides in the upcoming time.
