At the talks, Cao Bang city and Jingxi city informed the results of socio-economic development and foreign affairs activities of both sides.

Secretary of Cao Bang city Party Committee Le Hai Hoa briefed the potentials and advantages of Cao Bang. He emphasized that to inherit and promote the traditional friendship of "Vietnam-China close bonds as both comrades and brothers" and continue to deepen and further elevate the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, the two sides should work together to concretize common perceptions reached by leaders of the two Parties and countries as well as common understanding reached at 2024 Spring Meeting and the 15th meeting of the Joint Working Committee between four border provinces of Vietnam and China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Secretary of Cao Bang city Party Committee expected that through talks, exchanges, and the establishment of friendly relations between Cao Bang city and Jingxi city to promote the expansion of cooperation and development in all fields between the two Parties. He also expressed his hope that the leaders of Jingxi city would pay attention and support the connection of relevant units in construction planning, sustainable urban development, environmental protection management, and youth exchanges.

Secretary of Jingxi city Party Committee Hao Yusong expressed his sincere thanks to leaders of Cao Bang city for the warm welcome. He said that Jingxi city was upgraded from a district to a district-level city under Baise city in August 2015. He added both Cao Bang and Jingxi have potentials and advantages that can cooperate to promote development. He proposed that the two sides cooperate to develop bilateral culture and tourism; organize cultural exchange activities; jointly exploit and develop the border tourism market by restoring the scope of border tourism to Cao Bang inner city on the basis of relevant regulations and meeting minutes of the two Parties' relevant departments and sectors; expand the new cross-border tourism model "Journey to follow Ho Chi Minh's footsteps", promoting the signing of a framework agreement on cultural and tourism cooperation.

As Jingxi city is building a regional central city of China, opening up cooperation with ASEAN countries, he proposed that the two sides increase exchanges, visits, and learning experiences in the fields of infrastructure construction and urban management; continue to cooperate in developing trade and border economy; organize China - Vietnam trade fair; support businesses from Jingxi city to invest and do business in Cao Bang city and vice versa.

Secretary of Jingxi city Party Committee expressed his belief that, in the upcoming time, the cooperative relationship between the two sides would be more fruitful and more substantive in the spirit of inheriting and promoting the traditional friendship of "Vietnam-China close bonds as both comrades and brothers" and continuing to deepen and further elevate the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership.

Cao Bang city Party Committee and Jingxi city Party Committee sign a Letter of Intent

At the end of the talks, the secretary of Cao Bang city Party Committee (Vietnam) and the secretary of Jingxi city Party Committee (China's Guangxi) sign a Letter of Intent to establish international friendly and cooperative relations. Accordingly, the two Parties, will actively implement forms of exchange and cooperation in the fields of construction planning, sustainable urban development, environmental management and protection, and development of culture, sports and tourism.
