Speaking at the meeting, Director of Cao Bang Department of Industry and Trade Dong Thi Kieu Oanh affirmed that the purpose of the meeting was to unify the implementation of the tasks of coordination in the field of trade cooperation between the two sides related to the organization of the Cao Bang (Vietnam) - Baise (China) International Trade Fair in 2024. The trade fair organization is an activity to concretize the agreement of the 2024 Spring Meeting in February 2024 in Beihai City (China); the minutes between the delegation of Cao Bang province led by Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh and the leaders of Baise city in April 2024; the common understanding reached between Baise city Party Secretary Huang Rusheng and Cao Bang Provincial Party Secretary Tran Hong Minh in August 2024.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed the organization of the Cao Bang - Baise International Trade Fair in 2024 taking place in Cao Bang city from December 12 to 17, 2024. Accordingly, the fair will have about 350 booths. Chinese enterprises will have 20 - 30 booths including processed agricultural products, consumer goods, machinery and equipment, electronics, refrigeration, household electrical appliances, household appliances, shoes, sandals, clothes, wooden household furniture, handicrafts, and products that contribute to tourism promotion, etc.

Within the framework of the fair, the two sides will hold talks to evaluate the results of cooperation in the field of trade and economy between Cao Bang and Baise in the past time. At the talks, the two sides will propose cooperation contents in the coming time and solutions to promote trade and import-export cooperation, and sign a memorandum of understanding on trade development cooperation. The Chinese side will include representatives of the Baise city People's Government, the Department of Commerce, relevant authorities, and Baise city's import-export and trade enterprises.

The two sides agreed on the schedule for participating in the fair, support for immigration procedures, forms of importing goods to participate in the fair, plans for transporting goods of Chinese enterprises, reception and logistics work.

Deputy Mayor of Baise city Li Jianhua emphasized that in recent years, high-level exchanges between the two countries have taken place frequently and cooperation has been continuously deepened. Baise city and Cao Bang Province are two friendly province/city with very close geographical distance and many similarities in culture, customs and practices. The coordination of organizing the trade fair continues to promote the cooperative exchange relationship in many fields, especially promoting the clearance of goods through Long Bang - Tra Linh International Border Gate including Na Ray - Na Dong border crossing.

Earlier, the delegation of Cao Bang province paid a visit to the Long Bang smart border gate, the China-ASEAN agricultural products trading center, Guangxi Fresh Products Science and Technology Co., Ltd., Guangye Fresh Products Insulation Technical Service Co., Ltd., and Baise city.
