Cao Bang attend Congress on China - ASEAN creative collaboration and development of industrial and supply chains
Cao Bang province's delegation led by Vice Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Trinh Truong Huy on September 24 attended the Congress on China - ASEAN creative collaboration and development of industrial and supply chains (Baise - Cao Bang) in Nanning, China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Secretary of Baise City Party Committee Huang Rusheng welcomed the delegations of Cao Bang province, research institutes, trade associations, and economic groups to the Congress on China - ASEAN creative collaboration and development of industrial and supply chains. He affirmed that the Congress has important significance, creating opportunities for the two sides to exchange visions and directions for cooperation in the China - ASEAN collaboration of industrial and supply chains. That strengthens the friendly relationship and economic and trade cooperation between Cao Bang province and China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in general and Baise city in particular.

In his speech, Vice Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Trinh Truong Huy affirmed that the ASEAN-China partnership has been maintained for 33 years with many significant achievements, which contributes to peace, stability, and development in the region in all areas of political - security, economic, cultural - social cooperation. He said Cao Bang province highly appreciates Baise city's initiative to organize the Congress within the framework of 21th CAEXPO and CABIS.
The Vice Chairman noted that Cao Bang province is focusing on investing and upgrading the road system, especially the construction of Tra Linh (Cao Bang) - Dong Dang (Lang Son) expressway. This promotes traffic connection from China's southwest provinces (Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou) through Baise (China) to Cao Bang (Vietnam) and then to Lang Son - Hanoi - Hai Phong. Once the expressway is completed, the travel time from Cao Bang to Hanoi will be halved. The project is expected to create a new crucial international trade route connecting goods transportation from Lach Huyen International Port (Hai Phong, Vietnam) to Chongqing, Urumqi, Khorgos (China) - Kazakhstan to European countries and vice versa. Cao Bang wishes to become a bridge providing services and an important transshipment and logistics service center on the goods trade corridor from Guangxi and the Southwestern provinces of China to the sea and to ASEAN countries.
Cao Bang province has more than 110 thousand hectares of agricultural land, more than 512 thousand hectares of forestry land, and favorable soil and climate conditions for agricultural development. Therefore, the province seeks for opportunities to cooperate in receiving technology transfer, applying smart technology and high technology in growing fruit trees, growing medicinal plants, processing, preserving and consuming agricultural products, building brands for agricultural products; support human resource training and cooperate on labor export in the agricultural sector; share common achievements in scientific and technological research; effectively use precious medicinal resources to transfer traditional medicine from the two sides.
Being a province with landscape, cultural, historical, and geomorphological and geological values, Cao Bang province always attaches importance to preserving, conserving and promoting the values of cultural heritage. Cao Bang is the second locality in Vietnam to receive the title of Global Geopark recognized by the UNESCO Council in 2018. In early September, Cao Bang province successfully hosted the 8th Asia Pacific Geoparks Network Symposium with more than 800 participants from 19 countries with global geoparks. At the Conference, Non Nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO global geopark (Vietnam) and Leye - Fangshan UNESCO global geopark (China) signed an Agreement to establish cooperative relations. Therefore, Cao Bang province wishes to learn, connect and cooperate in the industry chain to develop sustainable tourism, especially green tourism development.
Emphasizing the importance of the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in general and Cao Bang - Baise relationship in particular, Vice Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Trinh Truong Huy proposed that in the coming time the two sides continue to join hands to cultivate understanding, respect, mutual support and cooperation to promote sustainable development, which actively contributes to promoting the strong and sustainable development of Vietnam and China as well as the entire region.
