Spring Dragon Festival 2024 at Vietnam - China border

The Longzhou (China) - Quang Hoa (Vietnam) border Spring Dragon Festival on March 11 took place in Shanglong village, Shanglong commune, Longzhou district, China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The Vietnamese delegation led by Head of the Department of Propaganda and Education of Quang Hoa district attended the event.

Leaders of both districts reaffirmed that Longzhou (China) and Quang Hoa (Vietnam) are both good neighbours and good friends, sharing one strip of mountains and rivers and both side’s peoples have a long-standing tradition of exchange. The festival’s purpose is to strengthen the exchange of government at all levels of both countries, to form mutual trust and deepen the exchange and cooperation in culture and tourism between both sides, which contributes to deepening the Vietnam - China comprehensive strategic partnership.

At the event, special traditional singing and dancing performances were performed. Activities of pouring rice into granaries to pray for favorable weather and good harvest took place. The participants enjoyed visiting the stalls displaying both sides’ local agricultural products and participated in a party of thousands of people tasting the two sides’ traditional dishes.
