Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh expressed his delight and thanked the leadership of Chongzuo city for the warm welcome. He affirmed that, under the guidance of important common perceptions reached between senior leaders of the two Parties, two States, Vietnamese ministries, branches and localities, especially the four border provinces of Vietnam (Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Ha Giang) have worked with Guangxi to thoroughly implement common awareness, and continue to deepen practical cooperation.

Cao Bang province (Vietnam) and Guangxi (China) have effectively implemented important common perceptions reached by the leaders of the two Parties and two States, which opens up many new prospects in the friendly cooperative relationship between the two sides. Practical cooperation in the fields of economics, trade, investment, traffic connection, cultural exchange, and border management has seen many new outcomes. The two sides have actively promoted the implementation of the Agreement on cooperation in protecting and exploiting tourism resources of Ban Gioc (Vietnam) - Detian (China) waterfall. Particularly, the pilot sightseeing tours at Ban Gioc-Detian Waterfall scenic area is a model model of cross-border and green tourism. The pair of bilateral border gates of Tra Linh (Vietnam) - Longbang (China) including the Na Doong - Na Ray customs clearance route was upgraded to an international border gate on December 28, 2023.

The Chairman noted that Cao Bang province highly appreciates the positive developments with many practical results of the friendly relationship and comprehensive cooperation between Cao Bang and Sung Ta provinces in recent times, which makes an important contribution to the general development of relations between the two Parties and the two countries Vietnam and China. 

At the meeting, Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh proposed a number of key cooperation contents between Cao Bang province and Chongzuo city in the upcoming time. He proposed that the two sides continue to strengthen friendly cooperation, promote the role of established bilateral cooperation mechanisms, and maintain exchanges at all levels with many forms of communication; direct and encourage districts/cities, communes/towns, villages/hamlets, border guards of the two province and the region to continue to establish friendly relations; jointly research and develop a friendly exchange mechanism to maintain annual friendly exchange activities to ensure practicality and effectiveness.

"Cao Bang province is blessed with many attractive landscapes and has many historical relics with a rich culture. Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark was recognised as a global geopark by the UNESCO Global Geoparks Council in 2018. Cao Bang is also a place with a long history and traditional culture with more than 200 historical and cultural relics and scenic spots such as Pac Bo National Special relic site, Phja Oac - Phja De ecotourism site, Thang Hen lake, Mountain Angel Eye, Nguom Ngao cave, Ban Gioc waterfall, etc", said the Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee.

Cao Bang hopes to have the opportunity to receive technology transfer and apply smart technology and high technology in growing fruit trees; and calls for and promotes investment in potential and valuable agricultural products of Cao Bang", he added.

Sharing an over-333-kilometer borderline with China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region with many pairs of border gates and border crossings, Cao Bang would like to become an important transit and logistics service center on the goods trade corridor from Guangxi and the southwest provinces of China to the sea and to ASEAN countries. The Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee affirmed that it is necessary to strengthen traffic connection, build border gate infrastructure, and open and upgrade border gates on both sides.

The Chairman proposed that Chongzuo city continue to invest in constructing border gate infrastructure, speed up completing procedures to put Ta Lung - Thuy Khau bridge II into operation; soon announce the upgrade of Ta Lung (Vietnam) - Shuikou (China) border gate into an international border gate; agree on a time to officially open the bilateral border gate of Ly Van (Vietnam) - Shuolong (China). The two sides continue to strengthen cooperation in border management, promote propaganda and effectively implement three legal documents on the Vietnam-China land border and related agreements; timely coordinate and adequately handle incidents arising on the border in the spirit of cooperation and friendship; strengthen cooperation in illegal entry and exit control and prevention and all types of cross-border crime fight; pay attention to research and promote cooperation in cross-border labor management.

Deputy Mayor of Peoples Government of Chongzuo city Chen Hong basically agreed with what the Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee said and his proposals. In an atmosphere of solidarity, openness, friendship, cooperation, and sincerity, delegates discussed and agreed on the contents and solutions that need to be promoted for cooperation and mutual development.

Both sides believed that, With the attention and support of the leaders of the two Parties and States, along with the efforts of Cao Bang and Chongzuo, the cooperation between the two sides in the coming time will continue to be fruitful, which brings practical benefits to the people and contributes to promoting social stability and economic development on both sides. The two sides continue to inherit, preserve and promote traditional friendship of being both comrades and brothers, which has been built and cultivated by President Ho Chi Minh,  Chairman Mao Zedong and other senior leaders.
