Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh expressed his sincere thanks to the Vietnamese Embassy in Switzerland for the warm welcome and the facilitation for Cao Bang to attend the Swiss-Vietnamese Economic Forum (SVEF) 2024. He said that Cao Bang province, in recent years, has made efforts to expand cooperation with Swiss localities in particular and the European Union in general to attract more investment resources for socio-economic development of the province. However, up to now there has not really been an outstanding and clear mark in the cooperative relationship between Cao Bang and Swiss localities. Specifically, there are not foreign direct investment (FDI) projects, ODA projects, or Swiss foreign non-governmental projects in the province.

The Chairman expected that the Vietnamese Embassy in Switzerland would pay attention to promoting the expansion and strengthening of cooperation between Cao Bang province and Swiss partners, which contributes to promoting the economic - cultural - social development of Cao Bang province as well as the achievements of the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Switzerland.

He also kindly requested the Embassy to continue to help and support Cao Bang province in recommending and promoting Cao Bang's image and potential to appropriate partners; call on potential and strategic investors to come to Cao Bang for visiting, researching, and implementing cooperation, aid and investment programs; support the connection of Cao Bang intellectuals, scientists, businessmen, overseas Vietnamese, and organizations and businesses in Switzerland to return to their homeland to share and exchange experiences, transfer of advanced technology and investment.
