In his speech at the meeting, Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh said that Cao Bang is making great efforts to become an above-average developed province in the region with the goal of promoting industrialization, modernization, rapid and sustainable economic growth tied to environmental protection, ensuring social welfare as well as improving people's living standards.

Cao Bang is blessed with many pristine landscapes, beautiful and majestic natural scenery, many famous tourist attractions, and historical and cultural sites such as Pac Bo National Special historical site, Nguom Ngao cave, Mountain Angel Eye, especially Ban Gioc waterfall - the largest natural waterfall in the Southeast Asia, one of the 10 most magnificent waterfalls in the world, one of the 21 most beautiful waterfalls in the world ranked by Travel+Leisure. In addition, Non Nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO global geopark geopark was listed among top 50 destinations with spectacular views which are recognized as the most outstanding among the wonders and fascinating natural landscapes around the world by Business Insider. The 8th Asia Pacific Geoparks Network (APGN) Symposium will be held in Cao Bang in September 2024.

With rich natural resources, dense forest coverage, climate and soil with unique characteristics, Cao Bang is favorable for the development of agriculture and forestry towards commodity production and processing.

Sharing an over 333km border with China, Cao Bang is investing in the provincial economic zone's infrastructure including essential facilities. Cao Bang is also focusing on the construction project of Tra Linh (Cao Bang) - Dong Dang (Lang Son) expressway which will halve the travel time from Cao Bang to Ha Noi. The expressway is expected to serve as a new route facilitating transportation fo goods from Lach Huyen International Port in Hai Phong City to Chongqing-Urumqi (China) – Khorgos city (Kazakhstan) to European countries and vice versa, which promotes the Tra Linh (Vietnam) - Longbang (China) cross-border economic cooperation zone.

Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh expressed his hope to get attention and support from the government of Reggio Emilia province, especially the E35 Agency for International Affairs, in recommending and promoting Cao Bang's image and potential to appropriate partners; calling on potential and strategic investors to come to Cao Bang for visiting, researching, and implementing cooperation, aid and investment programs; connecting Cao Bang intellectuals, scientists, businessmen, overseas Vietnamese, and organizations and businesses in Italy to return to their homeland to share and exchange experiences, transfer of advanced technology and investment.

Representative of the government of Reggio Emilia province said that Cao Bang and Reggio Emilia have a lot in common for cooperation, especially in agriculture, tourism and culture. During the meeting, the delegation of Cao Bang province was given a brief presentation about the social - economic development, potentials and development priorities of Reggio Emilia province. After the meeting, the delegation paid a field trip to a number of models of preserving historical neighborhoods in the city.
